What we do.
Stevedoring.
Stevedoring is the process of loading/unloading vessels and stowing cargo. We provide stevedoring services at the Port of Tauranga Container Terminal, the Mount Maunganui general wharves and in Northport. Some of the cargoes we handle are fertiliser, salt, stock feed, cement, logs, steel, timber, pulp as well as containers and specialised lifts.
Straddles.
The Port of Tauranga have over 50 straddle carriers that are used to move containers at the Sulphur Point terminal. We provide approximately 50% of the drivers of these big machines.
Cranes.
The Port of Tauranga have 9 ship to shore gantry cranes that they use to load and unload container ships at the Sulphur Point terminal. We are one of the service providers who provide drivers for this operation. We also supply drivers for Northport’s mobile harbour cranes.
